I really like our governor here in Arizona. I'm a fresh transplant, so I don't know her track record and history like a lifelong resident would. But she's impressed me with just being honest and having some common sense. Those are two features that most everyone in politics is lacking.

Just a Few Pictures of the Trip

We can't find the cord that is used to remove the pictures from my daughter's camera (what we took the vast majority of the pictures with) and the laptop.. so most of the pictures are stuck in 1's and 0's on her camera still. ;)

Here are a few I took though with my camera.

The above is my beautiful wife's foot.  Oh, and an amazing ridge line in New Mexico East of Albuquerque.

The sky seems so amazingly huge out here.  You can see forever, plus several miles more.

Amazing and beautiful places all along the way.  When we get out daughter's pictures off her camera I'll post more... could be a couple/few weeks though.  We have to find one cord in 2,000 boxes when the moving trailer arrives. :)

Travel Update 1.3 (Destination Achieved)

We have arrived at our temporary home at my small one bedroom apartment in Gilbert, Arizona.  Let me go back to where I left off from the last post and catch you up.

We left Albuquerque, New Mexico and continued on into Indian Reservation territory.  The land was breath taking and almost spiritual in nature.  You could feel the creativity and wonder of God's hand on his creation.  I wanted to take a small nap but it was so beautiful I couldn't lay back and close my eyes for more than a few seconds.

We have many pictures and today I hope to put up several of them (later) so that you can get a good view of what I'm talking about.  Pictures can't capture the wondrous feeling of such a place but I hope to give you just a glimmer of the amazing land there.

Into Arizona and the land flattened out and got rather boring on I-40 between the border and Flagstaff, AZ.  About 3/4 the way to Flagstaff we dropped down on Arizona road 87 that went straight south towards Phoenix.  Flat with small rolling hills at 70 mph made up good time until we hit the mountains.  Then it was slower going with sharp turns and more stunning handiwork of God.  Valley's going down far enough to stack five empire state buildings on end and still now reach up out of them to touch the skies.  We have more pictures of this as well but a camera only gets a little window into what you are seeing.  I felt almost as if I was a bird flying over the world, or a tiny any on the side of a tree looking down over an entire forest.

There were only a couple stressful things.  One was that the winding slow going made a 160 mile road take 5 1/2 hours.  But that was the GPS telling us and it ended up only being 3 1/2 hours.  We didn't know that though, so there was stress that we were going to be even that much longer getting home.  We were worn out and just wanted to be home by then.  The view though was one-in-a-lifetime like views though and it didn't take long to quit caring about exhaustion and just get overwhelmed in the beauty around us.  The second stress item was just the general nature of me driving and my wife in the passenger's seat.  It's like the sun coming up in the morning, you know it's going to happen.  You know my wife is going to hate my driving.  You also know I'm going to get upset with her being upset. (laugh).

That was actually not as bad as it could have been.  I think by the time we're married a few more decades we'll figure out and get along while driving. (fingers crossed).

A stop at a dairy queen for dinner.  Not the best of places for a meal but we didn't care at that point.. then back to the apartment.  Baths and showers for all and then bed.  Kendra is still sleeping, Tanya is trying to set up appointments for a doctors visit this morning for Kendra and we have a bunch of stuff to start doing with banks, change of addresses, balancing accounts, figuring out what money is where and how to get out feet under us here in Arizona financially now.  Just have to organizing where everything is at so we are frugal with our finances and understand the money flow of everything... Oh, I need to call the gas company for the new house to be turned on.. and water.. things like that today.

We got in at around 8:00 pm Monday evening... made very good time.

I want to thank all of your for your prayers and thoughts for our family while we were traveling across the country.

Travel Update 1.2

We got on the road bright and early at 5:00 am (Sunday) and got about 30 minutes on the way before we had to turn back and get Kendra's Diabetes supplies we forgot in the refrigerator. (Sigh). So, that was one full hour of driving endured but wasted.

Smashed a beautiful red cardinal creature of God with front of my car (it committed a Kamakaza attack on us), down into Indiana, South of Chicago in Illinois and continuing South down through Illinois and into Missouri at St. Louis.

Some nasty rain storms in Illinois made us slow down to 35 mph at times. It was the same areas that my father and I went through the bad ice storms in January.

Lunch and the famous Mexican restaurant called Taco Bell. Tanya drove next and Kendra and I got a good two hour nap in. Tanya finished all of Missouri and I took over once we were in to Oklahoma. Dinner at the other well know mexican restaurant called On The Border and sleep at Days Inn in Oklahoma City.

This morning (Monday) we got on the road at 6:00 am and started more driving in the rain. After a couple hours we were free and clear of the bad weather and have been making tremendous time. We have pierced through the top of the Lone Star State and drove through remarkable vistas of New Mexico.

We have copious digital occulary captures to share when we get home and can download them off the cameras. Mostly from New Mexico, the rest of the Country was pretty hum drum.

We are just now passing through/around Albuquerque, NM.

Travel Update 1.1

This has been such a great experience. The flight from Phoenix to Minneapolis was smooth. I read about 1/4 of The Overton Window on the flight. My seat would not recline, so rest and sleep was ruled out and I stayed up reading. The lady in front of me threw a tantrum though because she wanted me to turn out my reading light. I know I can get grumpy when I haven't slept in a long time, so I'm not going to bad mouth her here. But, I think a little 'anger management' would hurt her. :). Coming from me... I am either getting better, or I'm fully delusional now.
The layover in Minneapolis was short. A great cardio event and stretching of the legs and then the 30 minute wait before boarding aloud me to finish off The Overton Window.
You would believe the amazing people I met the kept coming up to me asking "Is that Glenn Beck's new book?". The country is waking up! I had four separate conversations with complete strangers about history and about reviving this Country again. These were conversations that they were fully involved and visibly connected in having with me. Not just listeners to me talking, but people that have also been reading and learning.
Started a brain candy book on the flight to Grand Rapids, Michigan. An author named Jim Butcher wrote a series of books about a modern day wizard in Chicago that fight evil, etc. Monsters and ghosts and all man of crazy stuff. They had a series on the teli on them called The Dressden Files.
Landed in Michigan at 9:30 am local time and my lovely wife and daughter were there waiting for me. It felt awesome knowing it wasn't just a visit but that we were together for good, again.
Got back to our house and immediately started removing doors and getting ready for the help to arrive.
My mother and father had arrived earlier in the day before me arrival and were waiting to help when I got home.
I have two of the best parents ever. I got my fun loving crazy and social part of me from my father and my soft heart and love for people from my mother. I couldn't ask for two more wonderful people to model my life after as a man, as a husband and as a father.
At noon Tyler Revor and two friends arrived to help. They were the main muscle of the event. Strong, hard working and great attitudes. They were absolutely perfect help.
The 28 foot semi-trailer the company dropped off was great. We packed as tight and space conserving as we could and still ended up using 16 ft of the trailer; 2 feet more than the estimate/contract. So there will be an additional $180 on the bill I think.
I kept getting cramps all day. I drank at least a gallon of water and 4 Gatorades but the cramps still plagued me all day.
After an hour and a half or so we cut the paid help loose. They got all the heavy stuff out ans to the trailer wonderfully. I was very happy with Tyler and his friends.
We still took another4 hours packing though. My wife made several runs to the hardware store for more rope to secure and tie off walls in the truck to make sure things were firm and secure. She made runs for Gatorade and cleaned the house as rooms became empty. She as like the foreman of the project in the house and also support for us guys loading inside the truck.
I can't tell you how amazing my wife is. That house was horrid! I mean, I walked in and all the rooms were stacked with boxes and furniture and as we emptied the house, every dust bunny and lost cat toy or hairball in the five county area allowed up in knee high piles everywhere (moderate to extreme exaggeration way occasionally be applied). With the help of my mother-in-law they had that house at the end looking amazing. Every room super clean and move-in ready for renters. It just baffles me how much work my wife and her mom frequently coming over to pack, have done over the last couple months.
My mother-in-law is the greatest! She has a servants heart that always thinks of helping other people. She is kind and soft spoken and always makes me relaxed when I am around her.
My father-in-law is a great guy too. He was there helping inside the truck. He has a great ability to see the bigger picture... I think the word is - wisdom.
Made sure the house was all perfect and then we said goodbyes to my mom and dad and went off to my wife's parents. Organized the car for travel, took a shower, washed sweaty moving clothes, a bite to eat, a last trip to the local ice cream place and then I hit the bed after working a shift in Arizona, traveling across the country and packing a house into a trailer; awake for over 27 hours.
Weird thing, I couldn't sleep. Even got up early to type this into my itty bitty Blackberry phone. My thumbs I think have clinical issues now. :)
We head out onto the road in 30 minutes. Departing at 5:00 am with the car for the start of this next phase of our journey.

Travel Update

Scheduled the shuttle pickup at 10:45 pm, today got a call (recording) saying they were picking me up at 10:30 pm, got home at 10:08, pet the cat, pulled the laptop out of my pack and wires/mouse, got phone call at 10:15 saying driver was outside.
You know me with leaving in a rush. Ack!
Still feel like I forgot something but pretty sure I did not (check lists).
At airport right now at 11:00 pm sitting at boarding waiting. Lots of people waiting. Teen/early 20's guy across from me has headphone playing the opening theme song to Glenn Beck's radio show. I struck up a conversation (of course) and turns out it's just a random song on his IPod by a group called Muse, song is called Uprising. But me asking and mentioning Glenn Beck in a somber boarding area suddenly lit everyone up and we all started talking like we've been friends forever.

EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Thursday, January 10, 1963

Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.

At Mrs. Nordman's request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following "Current Communist Goals," which she identifies as an excerpt from "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen:

CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.


16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.


22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."


24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

Obviously, if Rep. Kanjorski were a Republican you’d have seen this story splashed non-stop all over your television sets by now…
Rep. Paul Kanjorski (D-PA) told a House-Senate Committee that,

“We’re giving relief to ‘average good American people’ not ‘minorities’ or ‘defective’ people.”

Of course, by “average, good American people” he means ACORN, lawyers, union workers, La Raza, the Palestinians and the SEIU.

87 Senators (87%) Send Obama Letter To Support Isreal

Curious...

87% of the Senators of the United States of America found that it was necessary to pull their rabid president back from his frothing mouth Jew hating beliefs.

87 Senators signed a letter requesting President Obama take a Pro-Israel stance in policies from now on.  A similar letter drawn up by Congressman had over 300 signatures asking Hitler.. I mean, Obama to stop being so Anti-Israel.

Church Discussion: Is Muslim A Religion Of Peace?

My church did something very simple.  They just posted on Facebook an online article and asked us to read it.. and comment on it.

No pre-conceived comments or leanings, they just want our honest feelings and thoughts.

My summary of the Article: People are freaked about Muslims and should not be.  Make friends with lots of muslims and you will see they are loving and peaceful people.  If you don't, you're probably a person that reads "Left Behind" books, listen to your crazy uncle that writes a blog, you must love politics and not love God, etc.

I work with a man from India and he is on an International Religious Study Organization.  He and the organization travel all over the world studying different religions.  The Hindu religion is very accepting of other beliefs and they pull in many ideas of other religions to include in their own.  So they are fascinated and VERY open minded about other religions because they are looking for things to enhance and include in their own beliefs.

My friend though says he is confused by the Muslim Religion because it is all about hate, killing those that do not come to the Muslim faith and is filled with Violence.

Not my words, but the words of someone that follows a religion that accepts all others and seeks for peace and understanding between all peoples of the world.

I should probably wrap this up.

Now for my personal feelings.

I will pray for everyone, even members of the Muslim religion.  My heart breaks for anyone that does not have a relationship with Christ.  I will try to share Gospel of Christ with everyone I meet in this world.  Most people shrug it off and don't want to risk changing a life they feel comfortable with right now.  Some are receptive.  But I share the Gospel of Christ and then I don't worry about it.  It's up to the Holy Spirit and that person to take action or not.  It's my job to share the plan of salavation and the Love of Christ... not to brainwhash or browbeat them into a relationship with Christ.

But.. when it comes to the Muslim religion there is an immediate and certain conflict which can result in the loss of my and my families life.  Will this stop me from sharing the love of Christ?  No, but I'm not naive enough to believe there is no threat there either.

I think it is important to know what you believe.  Do you really believe that "The only way to the Father is through Jesus Christ?"  If so, you can have relationships and friendships of people with other religions.  I have no issues like that at all.  It's between them and God.. not me - them - and God.

But I have to ask why there is such a pressure to ignore litterally 1300 years of proven violence to the core of the Muslim religion?  Is the objective an all encompasing melting pot of all religions so everyone can play friendly in the sandbox?

I would profess that reality has escaped you if you belive the Muslim faith will accept you in any fashion if you do not convert to the Muslim faith.  They are instructed to kill you if you do not convert.

I don't know why it's required to prove that the sky is blue.  We're in an upside down world where up is down and left is right.  But be careful, you might be labeled as an "End Times" wackjob, or an islomofascist or some other term to demonize you for standing up for Character, Intergrity and for standing firm on your belief that the only way to the Father is through the saving Grace of Jesus Christ.

What Are The Real Unemployment Numbers

So, what's the deal with the unemployment numbers?

We can be told the unemployment is at 9.8% and then be told that 500,000 jobs have been lost in the month.

Oh dear, bad news.  We need to fix this problem.

But wait, the government tells us that unemployment went down to 9.7%.

Okay, now to all of you out there that didn't go to government school (public school) or who were able in spite of that learned math anyway; how does that add up?

If you lost half a million jobs, how does the unemployment go down?

Sneaky little trick the government is doing because they think you are too stupid to pay attention.

If Joe or Jane stops looking for work after being unemployed for 18 months and their unemployment runs out.  The government doesn't consider them unemployed any longer.  So.. they count them as working now.

Yes, it's obvious our government has smoked so much crack they're not any longer useful for any purpose other than tragic humor.

It Begins… Mexican Drug Cartel Openly Threatens Arizona Police Force (Video)

The Mexican drug cartel warned Arizona police officers this week to look the other way when they are off duty or face sniper fire.
These foreign criminals are now openly threatening our law enforcement officers here in America.

The Sierra Vista Herald reported, via Free Republic:

A Mexican drug cartel has threatened Nogales police officers, saying they will be targeted for retribution if they conduct off-duty busts.

Nogales Police Chief Jeffrey Kirkham told the Nogales International late last week that the threats stemmed from an incident approximately two weeks ago, when off-duty officers surprised marijuana smugglers while riding horseback in an unincorporated border area east of town. The officers seized part of the drug load, and the smugglers were able to flee back into Mexico with the other part.

“As a result of that,” Kirkham said, “our officers have received threats from the cartel that they are to look the other way if they are off duty, or they will be targeted by a sniper or by other means.”

NPD learned of the threats through informants, he said.

Following the threats, Kirkham said, NPD notified the Border Patrol and other federal law enforcement agencies, which responded by stepping up manpower and surveillance in the area where the off-duty bust occurred. In addition, Kirkham met with his officers to advise them of the threats and to authorize them to take precautions, including wearing firearms while off duty.

“The Nogales Police Department will not be intimidated,” he said.

Kirkham said the threats highlighted the need for more federal law enforcement at the border. “This has nothing to do with SB 1070 or illegal immigration,” he said, “it has to do with narco-trafficking and the violence of the cartels.”

Obama Says Oil Spill Is Like 9-11… But Sends Only 20 of 2,000 US Oil Skimmer Boats to Florida Coast

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse…

Last week Barack Obama told Politico that the BP oil spill was like 9-11–
But, it’s been over 60 days since the Deepwater Horizon rig explosion and he’s only sent 20 of 2,000 US oil skimmer boats to the coast of Florida.

Senator George LeMieux of Florida told the Shark Tank that there are only 20 skimmer boats off the coast of Florida out of 2,000 available skimmer boats in the United States. Lemieux says that Obama is afraid to move them to Florida because there won’t be any in place in case there is an oil leak somewhere else.

…That sounds like Obama.

Yesterday, Senator Lemieux requested a daily skimmer count update from the adminstration.

There have been calls to bring in more skimmer boats for at least two weeks but they have been ignored.

22 Countires have also offered to bring in their skimmer boats.

U.S. Coast Guard Commander Joe Boudrow (Boo-Dro –oh) will work to secure more equipment and help organize beach clean up efforts for the state. It is time to get off your couch, it is time to step outside your comfortable group of friends that don't challenge your growth.  It is time to get involved in learning about this countries history, this countries purpose and what it went through to become what it is.

It is also time to learn about the gradual erosion that has eaten away at the foundation of this country.  It is time to realize that to keep our freedoms we must return God as central focus of our lives, we must put responsibility back into our lives, we must say no-thank you to government programs and step up and take care of things on a State and local level.

If you are hiring illegal immigrants that is illegal; you know it and justifying it makes you part of the problem.  Put a frown face on if you have to, but when they come to work hand them their paycheck and let them know they need to head back to Mexico and come back legally and you will be very happy to give them their job back.

If you are cheating on your wife, stop immediately.  Beg your wife for forgiveness (yes, this means telling her what you've been doing.  She probably already knows anyway) and accept the consequences for your decisions so that you can grow and fix your life and become the man you know you need to be.

If you're cutting corners in your business at the expense of your employees or customers to pull a greater profit, stop it.  Be honest, be truthful.  Those of us that have some $ in our pocket and need some product or service, we are going to go where the company is honest, respectful, honorable.  If we find out you've been lying, cheating, treating your employees like crap... we're going to take our business elsewhere.  Your corruption will be found out and your company will suffer as the country around you wakes up and starts holding companies like yours accountable... So... get ahead of the curve.  Start doing the right thing.  The employees you have now that work begrudgingly under a tyrant you will find work beyond your expectations when they can start respecting you.  Your business will thrive when you start doing what you know is right.

I'm not saying I am a perfect man...  I'm not even saying I'm mostly together.  What I'm saying is that we all need to pick ourselves up.. together, decide that from this day forward there will be nothing in our lives to fester and rot and destroy us from the inside out.  We will be a man our wives adore and are proud of, we will be fathers our sons and daughters can learn from and model their lives after for years to come.  We will be men on school boards to reject the communist re-education of our children.

We will make a difference in this country not because we're comfortable about getting up and saying NO to our government, but because we MUST !

Our challenge is not to pick the best of two utter sell-out losers to be sent to congress or the senate.. but our challenge is to reject both bad choices and find within our midst a real leader.  We must find someone who will rip the government out of our lives and repeal, reject, tear out and rend the socialist programs out of the laws and out of our lives.  Just sending another 'election year conservative' back to Washington won't fix anything.

Case in Point: McCain.  The dirt bag is a fair-weather friend that tells you exactly what you want to hear until the day after election; then he's a pure communist.  I'm not promoting J.D. Hayworth here in the Arizona Senate race either because he hasn't proven to me that he's not any better.
