First Recipients of Obama's New Medal of Restraint Found

Confusing.. I thought the media has been showing how innocent the peaceful humanitarian muslims were and how the Israeli military came in guns blazing to kill them all.  Looks pretty much like the Israeli military here should have opened up and mowed them down and did a whole lot more damage than they actually did.

Looks like the Israeli military should get some of Obama's medal for 'restraint' if anyone should.

So.. what do we end up with.  We end up with a 'peaceful' muslim propaganda video and riots in Turkey by more 'peaceful' muslims.  The ship purposefully went to create a media sensation so they could pipe more brainwashing video to their 'peaceful' muslims.  And of course all the media around the world lapped it up like the pathetic Obama dogs that they are.

The so-called peaceful leftists and Pro-Gaza activists who attacked the Israeli soldiers today with pipes, metal rods and chairs belong to a terrorist-linked organization. The International Humanitarian Fund (IHH), which plays a central role in organizing the Gaza Flotilla, is a Turkish humanitarian relief fund with a radical Islamic anti-Western orientation. The president of IHH (Bulent Yildirim) recruited “Jihad warriors” and transferred firearms, and explosives to Al Qaeda and other Islamic terrorists organizations.
For some strange reason the state-run media forgot to mention this in their reports today?
Here is one video that shows the Gaza Flotilla activists chanting “Kill the Jews”.
Via Palestinian Media Watch:

From the video: Gaza flotilla participants chanted Islamic battle cry invoking killing of Jews. The name Khaibar mentioned in battle cry was the last Jewish village defeated by Muhammad’s army in 628. The battle marked the end of Jewish presence in Arabia. There are Muslims who see that as a precursor for future wars against Jews. At gatherings and rallies of extremists, this chant is often heard as a threat to Jews to expect to be defeated and killed again by Muslims.
One Jerusalem reported more on the terror-linked organization today:
In the wake of the deadly battle at sea, Israel has been telling the world that the prime sponsor of the so-called “Gaza Flotilla” is a terrorist linked organization. Many news organizations, (including the New York Times, Reuters, and the British Broadcasting Corporation), are ignoring this charge and continue to refer the so-called victims as peaceful Palestinian advocates.
A week ago, the Republic of Cyprus denied the flotilla any access to its ports. Despite some international criticism, the Cypriot government did not want to be party to a dangerous scheme by a confrontation minded group. The Cypriots clearly did their homework  – something that the news media did not.
A quick search of Internet reveals that Turkish based International Humanitarian Fund (IHH) is embedded with terrorists and their organizations. Like Hamas they provide humanitarian aid but their clients include Al Qaeda, Hamas, etc. Turkish security forces raided the Istanbul office of IHH. IHH activists were arrested, and Turkish security forces found explosives, manuals, and weapons.(For authoritative information on IHH click here.)
According to the French intelligence, the president of IHH (Bulent Yildirim) recruited “Jihad warriors” and transferred firearms, and explosives to Al Qaeda and other Islamic terrorists organizations. IHH has also been fingered for producing documents so Islamic terrorists can travel by air posing as relief workers. And IHH was involved with the terrorist who tried to smuggle 1320 pounds of explosives to be used to blow up Los Angeles International Airport.
This is a partial picture of the forces challenging Israel. These are people who are determined to destroy the Jewish State. These facts are not being broadcast in the many hours of news time being given to the Flotilla story.
And, The Weekly Standard reported that the terror linked group transferred millions of dolllars to Hamas:
The Turkish nonprofit belongs to a Saudi-based umbrella organization known to finance terrorism called the Union of Good (Ittilaf al-Kheir in Arabic). Notably, the Union is chaired by Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi, who is known best for his religious ruling that encourages suicide attacks against Israeli civilians. According to one report, Qardawi personally transferred millions of dollars to the Union in an effort to provide financial support to Hamas.
Don’t expect to see this in any of the Western media reports on the incident.

Republican Roots of the 1964 Civil Rights Act

by Michael Zak

Rand Paul’s controversial remarks about the 1964 Civil Rights Act illustrate what I have been saying for years, that Republicans would benefit tremendously from knowing and appreciating the heritage of our Grand Old Party.  That landmark legislation was the culmination of a century of efforts by Republicans to protect African-Americans from their Democrat oppressors.  Let’s look at the facts.
1101640619_400
On his deathbed in 1874, Senator Charles Sumner (R-MA) told a Republican colleague: “You must take care of the civil rights bill – my bill, the civil rights bill.  Don’t let it fail.”  In March 1875, the Republican-controlled 43rd Congress followed up the GOP’s 1866 Civil Rights Act and 1871 Civil Rights Act with the most comprehensive civil rights legislation ever.  A Republican president, Ulysses Grant, signed the bill into law that same day.
Among its provisions, the 1875 Civil Rights Act banned racial discrimination in public accommodations.  Sound familiar?  Though struck down by the Supreme Court eight years later, the 1875 Civil Rights Act would be reborn as the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
During the twenty years of the FDR and Truman administrations, the Democrats had refused to enact any civil rights legislation.  In contrast, President Dwight Eisenhower signed the 1957 Civil Rights Act, which had been written by his Attorney General, a former Chairman of the Republican National Committee.  The original draft would have permitted the federal government to sue anyone violating another person’s constitutional rights, but this powerful provision would have to wait until the 1964 Civil Rights Act.  The bill had to be weakened considerably to secure enough Democrat votes to pass, so violations would be civil, not criminal offenses, and penalties were light.  Vice President Richard Nixon helped overcome a Democrat filibuster in the Senate.  The GOP then strengthened enforcement with its 1960 Civil Rights Act.
Clever strategizing had won him the support of most African-American voters, but it took President John Kennedy (D-MA) nearly two years to make good on even one of his promises to them.  He refused to attend a dinner commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation and turned down Martin Luther King’s invitation to speak at the March on Washington.  He did name Thurgood Marshall to the federal bench, but that was to an appeals court in New York, far from the fray in southern states.  Kennedy did not honor his campaign promise to submit to Congress a new civil rights bill soon after taking office.
While the Kennedy administration was ignoring its campaign pledges, the Republican minority in Congress introduced several bills to protect the constitutional rights of African-Americans.  In January 1963, congressional Republicans introduced a sweeping civil rights bill to enact what Democrat opposition had prevented from being included in the 1957 and 1960 laws.  Threatened by this initiative, the president finally acted.  Hastily drafted in a single one-nighter, the Kennedy bill fell well short of what the GOP had introduced the month before.  Many Democrats were preparing a protracted Senate filibuster of this civil rights bill, which was in a committee of the House of Representatives when John Kennedy was murdered in November 1963.
The 1964 Civil Rights Act was an update of Charles Sumner’s 1875 Civil Rights Act.  In striking down that law in 1883, the Supreme Court had ruled that the 14th Amendment was insufficient constitutional authorization, so the 1964 Civil Rights Act had to be written in such a way as to rely on the interstate commerce clause for its constitutional underpinning.  The 1964 Act guaranteed equal access to public facilities and banned racial discrimination by any entity receiving federal funding, thereby extending coverage to most every hospital, school and government contractor.  Also banned was racial discrimination in unions and in companies with more than twenty-five employees.  Enforcement provisions were much more rigorous than those of the 1957 and 1960 Acts.
Republicans supported the 1964 Civil Rights Act much more than did the Democrats.  Contrary to Democrat myth, Everett Dirksen (R-IL), the Senate Minority Leader – not President Lyndon Johnson – was the person most responsible for its passage.  Mindful of how Democrat opposition had forced Republicans to weaken their 1957 and 1960 Civil Rights Acts, President Johnson promised Republicans that he would publicly credit the GOP for its strong support.  Johnson played no role in the legislative fight.  In the House of Representatives, the 1964 Civil Rights Act passed with 80% support from Republicans but only 63% support from Democrats.
In the Senate, Dirksen had no trouble rounding up the votes of most Republicans, and former presidential candidate Richard Nixon lobbied hard for passage.  On the Democrat side, the Senate leadership did support the bill, while the chief opponents were Senators Sam Ervin (D-NC), Al Gore (D-TN) and Robert Byrd (R-WV).  Senator Byrd, whom Democrats still call “the conscience of the Senate,” filibustered against the 1964 Civil Rights Act for fourteen straight hours.  At a meeting held in his office, Dirksen modified the bill so it could be passed despite Democrat opposition.  He strongly condemned the Democrat-led 57-day filibuster: “The time has come for equality of opportunity in sharing of government, in education, and in employment.  It must not be stayed or denied.  It is here!”
Along with most other political leaders at the time, Johnson, credited Dirksen for getting the bill passed: “The Attorney General said that you were very helpful and did an excellent job… I’ll see that you get proper attention and credit.”  At the time, for instance, The Chicago Defender, a renowned African-American newspaper, praised Senator Dirksen for leading passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
The struggle for civil rights was not finished, however, as most southern states remained under the control of segregationist Democrat governors, such as George Wallace (D-AL), Orval Faubus (D-AR) and Lester Maddox (D-GA).  Full enforcement of the 1964 Civil Rights Act would not arrive until the Republican political ascendancy in the South during the 1980s.
To quote from Back to Basics for the Republican Party, “The more we Republicans know about the history of our party, the more the Democrats will worry about the future of theirs.”  Seewww.grandoldpartisan.com for more information.

Confirmed: Unarmed National Guard Troops Won’t Be Used to Stop Illegal Immigrants

Posted by Jim Hoft on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, 3:28 PM
The illegal immigrants aren’t just from Mexico:

(FOX News)
Mexican President Calderon was right.
Those 1,200 National Guard troops who are being sent to the border… Will not be used to curb illegal immigration.
The AFP reported:
US National Guard troops being sent to the Mexican border will be used to stem the flow of guns and drugs across the frontier and not to enforce US immigration laws, the State Department said Wednesday.
The clarification came after the Mexican government urged Washington not to use the additional troops to go after illegal immigrants.
President Barack Obama on Tuesday authorized the deployment of up to 1,200 additional troops to border areas but State Department spokesman Philip Crowley told reporters, “It’s not about immigration.”
He said the move was “fully consistent with our efforts to do our part to stem, you know, violence, to interdict the flow of dangerous people and dangerous goods — drugs, guns, people.”
He said the extra troops would be used to free up civilians engaged in support functions so that law enforcement personnel can be increased along the 2,000-mile-long (3,200 kilometer) border.
Nearly 13 million Mexicans live in the United States, more than half of them illegally.
“We have explained the president’s announcement to the government of Mexico, and they fully understand the rationale behind it,” Crowley said.
Oh… And, the National Guard troops will not be armed.

WSB Actiion 2 News out of Atlanta aired a report recently on terrorists sneaking into the US through Mexico.
Via RCP Video:

Homeland Security is alerting officials to be on the lookout for suspected Somalian terrorists coming into the US illegally from Mexico.
FOX News reported:
The Department of Homeland Security is alerting Texas authorities to be on the lookout for a suspected member of the Somalia-based Al Shabaab terrorist group who might be attempting to travel to the U.S. through Mexico, a security expert who has seen the memo tells FOXNews.com.
The warning follows an indictment unsealed this month in Texas federal court that accuses a Somali man in Texas of running a “large-scale smuggling enterprise” responsible for bringing hundreds of Somalis from Brazil through South America and eventually across the Mexican border. Many of the illegal immigrants, who court records say were given fake IDs, are alleged to have ties to other now-defunct Somalian terror organizations that have merged with active organizations like Al Shabaab, al-Barakat and Al-Ittihad Al-Islami.
In 2008, the U.S. government designated Al Shabaab a terrorist organization. Al Shabaab has said its priority is to impose Sharia, or Islamic law, on Somalia; the group has aligned itself with Al Qaeda and has made statements about its intent to harm the United States.
In recent years, American Somalis have been recruited by Al Shabaab to travel to Somalia, where they are often radicalized by more extremist or operational anti-American terror groups, which Al Shabaab supports. The recruiters coming through the Mexican border are the ones who could be the most dangerous, according to law enforcement officials.
Security experts tell FOXNews.com that the influx of hundreds of Somalis over the U.S. border who allegedly have ties to suspected terror cells is evidence of a porous and unsecured border being exploited by groups intent on wrecking deadly havoc on American soil.

But ICE chief says feds might not 'process' illegals arrested by state

In what is developing into a standoff between states and the federal government that could be bigger than gun control or even health care, 17 states have launched versions of Arizona's immigration law, even as federal officials say they may not bother to process illegal aliens caught by the states.

William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, which has been trying to get officials to address the open southern border for years, warned the consequences could be dire.

"Over the last couple days, Obama and the chief of ICE have refused to honor their oaths of office," he said. "Their constitutional requirement is to enforce existing laws.
"They've told the American public to go eat cake," he said.

His organization is assembling the list of state efforts to emulate the Arizona law, which makes it illegal under state as well as federal law to be in the state without documentation.

"Seventeen states are now filing versions of Arizona's SB 1070, which is designed to help local police enforce America's existing immigration laws," ALIPAC said in a report today.

The report said numerous national and local polls indicate 60 to 81 percent of Americans support local police enforcingimmigration laws.

"Our national network of activists have been working overtime trying to help the state of Arizona and the brave Arizonans who have passed this bill," he said. "Arizona no longer stands alone and we have now documented state lawmakers filing, or announcing they will file, versions of the Arizona bill in seventeen states! We will not stop until all states are protected from invasion as required by the U.S. Constitution."

Gheen said the states where some form of immigration crackdown is under development include Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas and Utah.

President Obama several times has said he doesn't like the Arizona law. He's called it misguided and ordered a review by the Justice Department.

John Morton, who heads the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, said his agency might not process illegal aliens caught under state jurisdiction, the Chicago Tribune reported.
He insisted that only the federal government should respond to the problem.

"I don't think the Arizona law, or laws like it, are the solution," Morton said.

One blogger expressed concern that "a senior Homeland Security official has openly declared that he won't be doing his job."

"Morton has sworn an oath to uphold the laws of the United States. He is not allowed to pick and choose which ones he likes and which he doesn't."

Gheen said the Arizona law and the plans it has spawned in other states is a victory for Americans. But he said those are just battles, and winning the war will require success in elections this fall.
A "comprehensive" solution to the problem will arrive when there are enough "hostile" members of Congress to tell the administration to uphold the existing immigration and border laws or the impeachments will start, he said.

"[We need to send] to Washington a hostile Congress that is going to encircle the executive branch and tell them to [follow the law] or we'll impeach all the way down to the speaker of the House," he said.

Gheen said he is alarmed over the pending release, expected sometime just before the election, of a movie called "Machete," which reportedly is the story of a Mexican uprising in the United States.

Gheen said the message in the movie reportedly is that Americans will either submit to the "rape" of their land or else.

He said he believes the project is intended to create turmoil just as the mid-term elections draw near.

"There is nothing as important right now as getting [people] fully involved with all the campaigns," he said.

ALIPAC already has helped to pass some form of immigration enforcement legislation in more than 30 states. And Gheen has developed a national reputation for defeating socially progressive plans to hand out licenses, in-state tuition and other taxpayer benefits to illegal aliens.

"It is incumbent upon our states to protect American lives, property, jobs, wages, security, and health, when the executive branch fails to honor its constitutional responsibility to do so by enforcing our existing border and immigration laws," he said.

The Arizona law, which strictly prohibits racial profiling, empowers local police to enforce immigration laws.

To monitor the growing number of states considering similar legislation, ALIPAC utilizes a public forum in which members can update the organization with news articles and other information from states where the push for an Arizona-like law is making headway.

In Arizona's neighboring state Utah, for example, Rep. Stephen Sandstrom, R-Orem, reportedly is drafting a bill that would similarly require immigrants to carry proof of status and require law enforcement officers to check for it.

"Utah is seen as state that welcomes illegal immigrants. We almost encourage it with driving privilege cards and in-state tuition for illegals," Sandstrom told the Salt Lake Tribune. "With Arizona making the first step in this direction, Utah needs to pass a similar law or we will see a huge influx of illegals. The real issue is just establishing a rule of law in our state."

Across the country in Maryland, Baltimore's WBAL-TV reported earlier that State Delegate Patrick McDonough, R-Baltimore County, is drafting a bill identical to Arizona's. He's also planning to poll his fellow legislators before the bill is filed.

Figures. Obama Knew Arizona Immigration Law Would Be Challenged When He Announced 1,200 Guard Troops Would Be Sent to the Border Today

Posted by Jim Hoft on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, 9:57 PM
Ace of Spades nailed it.
The Obama Administration announced today that they would send 1,200 National Guard troops to the Mexican border. Ace said it was just cover for the Administration so that they could go after the Arizona immigration law. Ace was right. In fact, today’s announcement was just a diversion. Barack Obama knew before today’s troop announcement that his Justice Department would challenge Arizona’s immigration law. His ingrained radicalism is predictable.
Tonight, a team of radical Obama Justice Department attorneys recommended that the U.S. government challenge the Arizona state immigration law.
FOX News reported:
A team of Justice Department attorneys reviewing the new immigration law in Arizona has recommended that the U.S. government challenge the state law in federal court, but the recommendation faces an uncertain future and tough scrutiny from others in the Justice Department, sources with knowledge of the process tell Fox News.
Staff attorneys within the Justice Department recently sent higher-ups the recommendation. At the same time, the Justice Department’s Civil Division, which oversees the majority of immigration enforcement issues for the department, has drafted a “civil complaint” that would be filed in federal court in Arizona, sources said.
The draft complaint challenges the Arizona law as unconstitutional, saying it is illegal because it impedes federal law, according to the sources, who would not offer any more details about the draft complaint or the arguments made in it.
Two weeks ago, Attorney General Eric Holder told lawmakers such an issue was being considered by Justice Department lawyers reviewing the new law, which outlines and possibly broadens the authority of police to detain those suspected of being in the country illegally.
The Arizona immigration law reinforces this national immigration law that has been in effect for 70 years.
UPDATE: Greta Van Susteren wonders if Obama is stuck in high school:
Why didn’t President Obama tell the Republican Senators when he met with them and discussed the illegal immigration issue yesterday that he was sending 1200 troops? Why did he let them learn from the press right after the meeting? He could have and should have told them as they were discussing the issue. It seems so high school (unless he has a really good reason but I sure don’t know it.) This is an important issue. It is too important to play games or politics.

Obama to Deploy Up to 1,200 National Guard Troops to U.S.-Mexico Border

FOXNews.com

President Obama told Senate Republicans Tuesday that he's read the controversial Arizona immigration law and is concerned it would allow for discrimination -- but is planning to deploy up to 1,200 National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexico border to allay security concerns.

President Obama told Senate Republicans Tuesday that he's read the controversial Arizona immigration law and is concerned it would allow for discrimination -- but is planning to deploy up to 1,200 National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexico border to allay security concerns.

An administration official confirmed to Fox News that Obama plans to request $500 million for "enhanced border protection and law enforcement" and deploy the National Guard troops as needed.

The official said the National Guard would be used to "provide intelligence; surveillance and reconnaissance support; intelligence analysis; immediate support to counternarcotics enforcement; and training capacity until Customs and Border Patrol can recruit and train additional officers and agents to serve on the border."

Update:

Finally, after all of the lame jokes, he responded.
Today Barack Obama announced that he would send 1,200 National Guard troops to the Mexican border.
The AP reported:
President Barack Obama will send 1,200 National Guard troops to boost security along the U.S.-Mexico border, officials said Tuesday, pre-empting Republican plans to try to force votes on such a deployment.
Obama will also request $500 million for border protection and law enforcement activities, according to lawmakers and administration officials. The moves come as chances for action on comprehensive immigration reform, Obama’s long-stated goal, look increasingly small in this election year. But Obama is under pressure to do something with the issue front and center after Arizona’s passage of a tough crackdown law.
The National Guard troops will work on intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance support, analysis and training, and support efforts to block drug trafficking. They will temporarily supplement border patrol agents until Customs and Border Protection can recruit and train additional officers and agents to serve on the border, an administration official said.

Arizona Leads The Way With Pro-Family Bills

I am so greatly impressed with my new home and State. I feel like I have left Egypt and have finally come into the Promise Land. I'm sure it's not perfect and has a lot of things still to fix.. but BOY are they really heading in the right direction.

PARENTAL RIGHTS, STRONGER CHILD-PREDATOR LAWS, AND OPTING OUT OF FEDERAL ABORTION MANDATES HIGHLIGHT CAP'S MOST SUCCESSFUL LEGISLATIVE SESSION TO DATE

Article from Center for Arizona Policy Website

The 2010 Legislative Session has come to an end with 12 CAP-supported bills receiving Governor Jan Brewer's signature. This marks CAP's most successful session in our 15-year history, throughout which we've led the way to see a total of 84 pro-family bills enacted into law!

We encourage you to thank Governor Brewer for standing up for timeless values by calling her office at 800.253.0883 or sending her a note through her website.

Here's an overview of how these new laws will make Arizona a better place for families:

Sanctity of Life
· Arizona led the nation by becoming the first state in the country to opt out of providing abortion coverage in any insurance exchanges offered under the new federal health care law.
· Arizona taxpayer dollars will no longer provide elective abortion insurance coverage for any government employees.
· Arizonans now will know the facts about abortion in the state as abortion providers will be required by law to report data about abortion, including physical harm to women.
· Arizona leads the nation in enacting common-sense, ethical regulations for protecting the dignity of human life that do not interfere with legitimate bio-tech research. The new laws include provisions that:
o Require informed consent before a woman donates or sells her eggs to clinics.
o Prohibit the sale of human eggs for research purposes and prohibit the sale of human embryos for any purpose.
o Prohibit human cloning, embryonic stem cell research, and the creation of human-animal hybrids.

School Choice
· Arizona's tax credit scholarship programs have been improved to provide greater accountability and to give taxpayers the information they need to make an informed decision when donating to school tuition organizations.
· Arizona children will have more opportunities to attend the schools that best meet their needs by extending the tax-credit donation deadline from December 31 to April 15.
· Arizona universities will now report how scholarships are awarded to all students whether they attend public, private, charter, or home schools.

Parental Rights
· Arizona law now recognizes the fundamental right of parents to direct the education and upbringing of their children. The new law includes provisions that:
o Require parents to provide signed, written permission for their children to participate in sex education classes.
o Protect children from mental-health treatment outside of a doctor's office without parental consent.
o Arizona schools will be required to notify parents when materials about sexuality are presented in non-sex education classes.

Child Prostitution
· Arizona law is strengthened to better protect minors that are being raped for profit. Predators seeking child prostitutes no longer will be able to avoid prosecution by claiming they did not know the age of the prostitute.

Religious Freedom
· Arizona leads the nation in enacting a state law to protect the First Amendment rights of churches to use their property for worship.

Initiative and Referendum
· Arizona's initiative and referendum process will become more transparent and accountable as state officials will be required to publicize the ballot yes/no language in a timely manner.

Political Blogs May Be Regulated By The FEC

Filed as News on May 20, 2010 9:27 pm
by Darnell Clayton

It look like American bloggers could face a new threat that may make people think twice before criticizing their political leaders online.

Apparently the US government thinks bloggers are becoming a public hazard, and like a few other industries (i.e. airplanes, banks and nuclear power plants) need to be regulated by the government (in this case the Federal Election Commission).

The Obama administration has announced plans to regulate the Internet through the Federal Communications Commission, extending its authority over broadband providers to police web traffic, enforcing “net neutrality.”

Last week, a congressional hearing exposed an effort to give another agency—the Federal Election Commission—unprecedented power to regulate political speech online. At a House Administration Committee hearing last Tuesday, Patton Boggs attorney William McGinley explained that the sloppy statutory language in the “DISCLOSE Act” would extend the FEC’s control over broadcast communications to all “covered communications,” including the blogosphere. (Reason.com)

This law would probably extend to Twitter as well, not to mention Facebook too (the latter who is embroiled in another censorship case via Pakistan).

Although this law (or measure) will probably be struck down by the US Supreme Court (who seems to love the first amendment aka “freedom of speech” for you non-yanks), the fact that the US government would even consider this is troublesome.

Unless the government is dealing with slander, a terrorist threat or a pay per post scandal they shouldn’t bother regulating the blogosphere as that could result in a political backlash (not to mention provide an incentive to host ones content over seas).

Hopefully common sense prevails regarding this issue, as the last thing bloggers need is to worry about is regulation from “Uncle Sam.”

Unbelievable… The guy actually recorded his phone conversation with the Apple employee who called to break the bad news…Watch the video below.

From TUAW.com
In what is sure to raise a ruckus, comedian / filmmaker / app developer Emery Emery recorded a phone call with an Apple App Store rep when his iSlam Muhammad app was pulled from the App Store after one day. The highly entertaining conversation in its entirety can be heard by watching the “video” above.
iSlam Muhammad apparently depicted images of the prophet Muhammad (forbidden by Islam) and outlined disturbing passages from the Qur’an. It’s surprisingly similar to BibleThumper, a Christian-bashing app that remains in the App Store.
Here’s the description of the actual app which was going to sell for $.99:
The prophet Muhammad is leader to millions of Muslims worldwide. Qur’an You Believe It?

Enjoy violent and hateful passages from The Qur’an that support and encourage Muslims to attack and behead anyone who does not agree with them. See how Allah directs his followers to treat men and women.

Share them with your friends and get to know more about Muhammad, Muslims and what makes them do the things they do. With scriptures like these how is it possible to be a liberal or moderate Muslim?
